Canon Lens EF-S18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS

The EF-S18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS is a zoom lens designed exclusively for use with digital SLR cameras compatible with EF-S lenses. It has a zoom ratio of approximately 11x and is equipped with an Image Stabilizer. Two molded glass aspheric lenses and two UD lenses correct various anomalies such as chromatic aberration, resulting in a lens with a high zoom ratio that produces superior quality photos with superb sharpness over the entire image area. Camera shake correction is equivalent to approximately 4 steps in terms of shutter speed. For telephoto photography, during which camera shake tends to more easily occur, agile operation is possible even when shooting handheld. In addition, automatic switching between regular and panning modes assures capturing unexpected photo opportunities at the press of the shutter. A minimum focus distance of approximately 0.45m throughout the entire zoom range makes the lens useful for close-up photography, adding to its all-around usability and outstanding versatility. The lens also features a zoom ring lock that prevents the barrel from extending and striking objects while being carried. Other performance features include high-speed AF and a circular aperture for producing nicely rounded blurs while at the same time controlling flaring and ghosting.
